What Are The Benefits of Paint Correction?
Paint Correction will improve the look of your vehicle. It can also help to raise the resale value of the car if you are planning on selling it at any point soon. CARFAX lists Ceramic Coating as an option of value.
Paint Correction is for all vehicles whose owners care about the vehicle’s appearance, not just High-end luxury and vintage cars.
Paint Correction can improve many common paint imperfections that are the result of wear and tear on your vehicle.
Swirl marks are incredibly common and usually happen after going to an automated car wash or getting unprofessional or DIY auto detailing.
Water spots are another issue that paint correction can fix. These happen when water is allowed to settle on the paint without a car wax to protect it. Water droplets leave minerals that can damage the paint and will need to be repaired with Paint Correction.
Other imperfections like hazing and marring can happen from too much exposure to the sun.
All of these issues can be addressed by Paint Correction at AZ Detailers.
Whether this is oxidation or swirling from UV rays, light scratches from everyday use, or chips from road debris, you may need to make some repairs to the painted surfaces at some point. Fortunately, Paint Correction can help get your vehicle looking its best again.
What Is The Process?
Step #1
At AZ Detailers Professional Paint Correction, the technicians will do an initial assessment of the car and look for the areas that need to be Paint Corrected. We will also make sure that there is enough paint on the vehicle to do the correction. If the clear coat of paint is too thin in some areas, Paint Correction may not be possible; you may need to do touch-ups or a complete repaint to get the desired results.
Step #2
AZ Detailers completely washes and dries the vehicle with a clay bar treatment and masks off any sensitive areas, such as rubber or glass components.
Step #3
AZ Detailers will use a cutting compound with a dual-action polishing machine to remove deep scratches and other defects. We will work our way down to lighter and lighter wet sanding and polishing to refine the surface and remove smaller imperfections.
Step #4
Once the imperfections have been removed, our technician will do the light polishing using a foam pad or buffing pad. The polishing pad removes fine swirl marks and enhances the gloss of the clear coat. After polishing has been done and the paint is looking its best, they may add a ceramic coating or paint sealant to seal the finish and ensure that it is protected. This whole process can take anywhere between eight hours to several days, depending on factors like the size of your vehicle or the level of damage to the paint.
